More summer fun...

The weather has turned a bit less summery, but the fun continues at Camp Sunrise despite the wind and rain and clouds...

Ben and I caught some fish, and we then cleaned and cooked them up...he was up for the whole process, and also helped to eat some of the fish...

Ben and D went for a number of kayak trips on Upper Saranac Lake...

Maggie-moo took lots of naps all over the place...

Ben had a bath in the lake using a bar of Ivory Soap...this took me back to my childhood about 200 yards down the lake at our old camp...bars of Ivory float, and the smell of it mixed with the lake-water was enough to act like a time machine for me...

Ben is by now amazingly confident swimming out to the float, even taking a gross squishy frog that we adopted at the Wild Center out with him...note the frog-esque pose...

We went for a great canoe trip from Floodwood Pond down to Fish Creek and through Spider Creek to Follensby Clear Pond...it is my favorite paddling trip in the Adirondacks, and takes you through a number of ponds and narrow river stretches...Ben rode with me this time...

Muz and D and Maggie had a nice paddle, although Maggie was a little nervous during the narrower stretches...

Ben and I enjoy wearing hats when boating...Ben thinks that his makes him look like Indiana Jones...

After lunch, Ben switched boats to finish off the trip with Mommy...

This morning Ben and La-La had a nice tele-conference, to catch up on important happenings since they last talked...

Gail has set up her "summer office" on the upper level of the boathouse at Camp Sunrise...she gets super wireless reception, there's a plug, and the view is incredible...I would have a tough time getting my work done, but she manages to be amazingly productive...

After a long swim this morning, Ben invented a great sandwich for his lunch...peanut butter, jelly, ham, and cheese...all in the same sandwich...he ate 2 of them...
